John Gammons is a results-driven, highly technical executive leader with over 15 years of experience leading, scaling and optimizing platforms, services and networks across the entire delivery lifecycle including architecture, engineering, development, and operations. As Senior Director of Wi‑Fi Engineering and Wireless Operations at Cox Communications, he leads the design, deployment, and operation of connectivity platforms supporting millions of endpoints and driving significant enterprise revenue growth.
John's expertise encompasses provider solution architecture, scaling carrier networks as well as the processes and organizations that support them, cost optimization, and data-driven experience and reliability improvements. He excels at translating complex technical information for executive audiences, influencing strategy within a matrix organization, and making timely decisions to deliver results.
John holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Auburn University and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science at Georgia Tech, with an emphasis on networks, machine learning, analytics, and security.
